Going through older posts and came across this one. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so here're a few things to consider.

Your 'Fernmanagh' is probably just the wrong spelling of Fermanagh.

Civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages in Ireland began 1864 (other marriages from 1845) and for earlier dates you need to search for church records (if they exist).

The IGI (www.familysearch.org) has a submitted record for a James Mulrone born 1840 Fermanagh to Thomas Mulrone and Jane Quinn.
While submitted records can be unreliable they are sometimes correct and worth checking out if possible. Do your James Mulrone's marriage or death certificates have any clues as to his birthplace, parents, etc.?

Looks like there's someone else researching the same family:

Hello ferndale,

Since there haven't been too many families named Mulrone found in Fermanagh I'd suggest you consider spelling variations ... Mulrain, Mulraine and Mulroon. Most of the Mulroon families appear to come from Belleek parish ... Mulrains and Mulraines come from several parishes. Darby Mulroon of Kinawley parish appears on the 1796 Flax Growers List.
