I have gone through my manual records on Ro(a)cavan Parish and note that there are 4 Shaw 'plots' in Rocavan Burying Ground. My notes are in relation to one of my lines in the Parish so I am not aware if the Shaw 'plots' had headstones/inscriptions but, if they did have headstones, then any inscriptions may be included in a booklet entitled Ballymena Borough Gravestone Series: 7.

Hello Scotmum:

You have gone to a tremendous trouble on my behalf, and after sifting through the various Shaws I'm sure some of it will be very useful indeed.  Also I'll try to get hold of that Ballymena Gravestone booklet to see if 'our lot' are included.

I can't thank you enough,

Gordon.

Hello Christopher,

Thank you for that info.  It looks like another visit across the water is called for, though it won't be this year I'm afraid.

Well remember that scary train ride along the shoreline on a very 'shoogly' wee train from Coleraine to Londonderry - couple of weeks later it came off the rails - why am I not surprised  :)

Was hoping someone might be visiting Coleraine Library and have a little look for me in the meantime - still living in hope.

Best wishes from sunny Middlesbrough,

Gordon

Hello Angela,

Thanks for taking time to reply:    believe oldest is Martha Jane b 29/9/1866 Ballygelly;  youngest is my grandfather Andrew b 12/7/1881 Ballygelly.

Think there were at least three 'in-betweenies' - Rachel, Agnes and James, though there may be more, and I have no idea of their birthdates.

Kind regards,

Gordon.
