Hello there,
Here's my attempt.  I think that it would be beneficial to get higher resolution scans or use less compression as there seems to be a lot of pixel noise visible when magnified. 
Hope you can see an inprovement.

Sorry both photo's were sent to me via e mail so they are the only copies I have. Both are very faded but I can at least see my great grandfathers face which is lovely.

       You all do a great job, Photo Restoration is one of my favorite places on this site, I love looking at all the improvements made.
