Burial Records for Betharan Independent Chapel, Brynmenyn, Bridgend
« on: Tuesday 09 May 06 21:43 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me locate who holds the burial records for the Betharan Independent Chapel in Brynmenyn, Bridgend?  This chapel is no longer in use but since I have found some relatives buried there, I am trying to find out if any of my other relatives are also buried there.  I paid a visit but the inscriptions on most are illegible.  I have also consulted the MI's that could be deciphered for this cemetery.

What does normally happen if a chapel with a cemetery closes down?  I have looked at the list of records held at the Glamorgan Family History Centre and it appears they do not hold them, also I have contacted the burials officer at Bridgend council who says he only has municiple burial records.

Many thanks

Gareth
