Has anyone been watching this programme?
It is very interesting but so sad.
The reason that I have been watching this programme is because my daughters mother in law was one.

Hi

I have not seen the programme or even knew it was on.
So Thank you for mentioning it.  :)

My Nan was a Foundling, so I will be making sure I see it.
Read the write up on the BBC site and it looks very interesting and sad.
Really hoping some of the people find their family.

Thanks Bulsara for highlighting this programme.  I have watched the last two episodes and found they were very sad.  However, it's amazing that people have found siblings after piecing tiny snippets of information together.  The amount of research these people have done is mind boggling.

I have watched three of them and recorded this morning's one.

They have been really interesting to watch but sad also.  The prograame yesterday was particularly sad for the lady who emigrated and just missed out on meeting her birth mother.

I watched that one Dolly.  I wonder if the mother will ever contact her daughter, wasn't it strange that she lived in a mobile home in the middle of knowhere in Spain, with numerous dogs.  I could imagine that she would be a very odd/eccentric character.

It must have been so hard for the daughter to walk away and start a new life.

Hi All,

There is a book that goes with this series, by Kate Adie, (who is adopted, - perhaps this explains her interest?)

Romilly.

The book is very good I had it as a Christmas pressie. Some of the chapters give a real insight into social history.

Hi Romilly,

It's called "Nobody's Child" and is a hardback book, not sure whether it's available in paperback yet (or ever will be)
