Hi Lilygirl

If Ann was Ann WHORLOW then they are very likely to be the WESTOVER family that I already found for you in Seasalter, Kent 1851 census see http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,153992.0.html

because their daughter Ann M looks very likely to be this one with her WHORLOW grandparents in 1861 ...............

1861

High Street, Seasalter, Kent

Tho's WARLOW head mar 61 baker b.Seasalter Kent
Ann Maria wife 62 b.Whitstable
Ann M WESTOVER grandau unm 16 pupil teacher b.Seasalter

RG9/524 folio 116 page 14
.............

1851

High Street, Seasalter, Kent

Thomas WHORLOW head mar 51 baker b.Seasalter
Ann M wife 51 b.Seasalter
Mary dau unm 22 b.Seasalter

HO107/1625 folio 485 page 5

Odd that can't see any William Joseph WESTOVER bc1838/9 though ???

If you follow the link to the Kent Registration Services Site that I gave you http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,153992.msg713988.html#msg713988 with the suggestion that John WESTOVER married in 1843 you will see that John WESTOVER married Ann WHORLOW in 1843 in the Blean registration district which covers Whitstable/Seasalter.

Is it possible that John was married twice and/or perhaps William Joseph "WESTOVER" was the son of John and not Ann or vice versa?

If they are in Seasalter/Whitstable in 41 the pieces for this area are listed under wholly or partially missing :'(

Thanks again,

I'll look at it properly this time.
Sorry,

Looking at the death details I have of John got this week it makes his birth about 1827 which would mean he was 11 when William Joseph was born so that can't be the case.

Maybe I'm right up the wrong tree completely.
I'll have to wait until I can find shipping details on how my William Joseph came to Oz.
Will let you know what I can come up with.

Thanks again
