I was wondering if there as anyone that had a source for looking up the  the marriage of Alfred Vessey marriage  to ALICE ? in HULL in  3rd Qrt. 1893

ALICE WHO ?  (Maiden Name)

I have tried the usuall look  ups and have spent hrs. on ancestry  Index Vol. Page looking for a match  Given  up

can anyone help me

The marriage is on FreeBMD, and all 4 suspects are there   

Alice Milbank seems to be the one.

Just to add my tuppeny worth: for births, marraiges and deaths in Yorkshire there is also the Yorkshire BMD website at:

http://www.yorkshirebmd.org.uk

It works along the same principle as Free BMD, but with the added advantage of telling you the name of the church/registry office and also includes a separate reference code.  Again, it is updated regularly.  Documents can also be ordered off this site, for £7.00 I think.  I found the following information:

Alfred VESSEY m Alice MILBANK, St Luke, Hull.  Reference: HLU/4/248

I was just about to go to bed Nearly midnight NZ time  Thank you for that extra information on Alfred and I have just  had a quick look at that site you posted and I have found three other marriages  of VESSEY  and they gave me the name of the church .

Who knows what time I will get to bed now, but it is Satuarday tomorrow and I can have a lie in.
