JANE/ JEAN MCKINLAY LOOK UP PLEASE

Hi,
I am looking to trace the family of Jane/ Jean Mckinlay. I'm sorry but Ihaven't anymore to go on than that??

She was born in Jonston(?) approx 1827.

She married John Gemmell, b-1822 in Dunbarton. They married in Port Glasgow in Nov 1851.

They had approx 5 children - moved to Liverpool & then onto Hull, East Yorkshire.

This probably isnt much help but Johnstone is in Paisley , Renfrewshire . Its on the same side of the River Clyde as Port Glasgow . Dumbarton is across the water . Have you tried Sctlands People ?

thank you for the information, It would stand to reason that it would be on the Port Glasgow side as she was married there??

Yes, I tried to log on to 'Scotlands people' the other day but without success, it wouldn't let me register??? I don't know if I need to sort my firewall out???.

So it's deffinately worth a go?? Have I enough info to go on??? I'll have another try!
