The BBC Your Place and Mine page about the The Ballykinlar Collection which is a part of the Kilmainham Gaol Archive.

An autograph album was assembled in 1921 by prisoners at Ballykinlar Prison in Derry where they were held without charges and without trial. You can read the story of the book here and then have a look through the album.

The guys who were interned at Ballykinlar were Irishmen, who believed that their country should be independent, fighting the British army in the Anglo Irish War or the Irish War of Independence which took place between 1919 to 1921.
