I have just bought this pair of photographs on eBay and they are named and dated! I believe they came from a house clearance and sadly there is a note on the back of each saying 'My Father John McNaught Fraser (born 1894)' and one also bears a pencil date of December 1894. They probably came from the sons' effects and no one wished to claim them.
Someone may be looking for him though, I would be pleased to pass them on.
The photographer is Fredk Kingsbury, 16 Belle-vue Road, Wandsworth Common, S.W. and one picture has a second address of 45 St George's Place, Knightsbridge, S.W. (Click on images for a larger pic).
That's a fur cape so they might have been quite well off
