Granddad's photo needs some help!

This a photograsph of my grandfather (John William Martin (born 1901) and his younger sister Alice.......wish I coulod see them !

Here is a quick attempt. I'm sure though, that if you scan it at 600dpi it would give a better pic' to work with.

That is better already !

I have NO IDEA about scanning !  I just put it in the scanner and press scan !

I am hopeless with instructions.....but I can read a map !

Once again....thank you for the gorgeously improved photo !

I thought it must have been taken at a wedding.....or in Whitsuntide clothes' but now I can see the confetti on the ground....I think !

Although, on the rear it says, outside 6, Cross Street, which is where they lived.....

I am now trying to work out whoses wedding it may have been.....an aunt married in 1906...but it was December.....should think the little girl would have been a bit cold if it was......but I think it was before that...
