Robert WILSON RFA 1880s
« on: Monday 27 February 06 23:20 GMT (UK) »
Just wondered if you could find anything on my g.grand father.  His name is Robert Wilson and he was a Gunner in the Royal Field Artillery. He was stationed at Maryhill Barracks in 1885 where he got married.
His daughter was born in 1889 so he was around for her conception. (I hope).
After that we lose all trace of him. We cannot find him on any cesus' , I also know he had died before 1917 when his son married. His year of birth is 1863/4.
I am not sure if he survived the Boer War or if he missed it so any help is greatly appreciated.
Also I have looked on nearly all of the sites mentioned in this thread and loads more with no luck.
 Regards.
 Anner.
