This is my first time!
Have a mysterious gr grandfather called (Jacob) William Lambert always William on Census :) b 20.9.1874 in Melbourne Derbyshire who was an army pensioner when he died on 11.5.22. No record of him in the WW1 so could be Boer War possibly in the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derbyshire division) Would be extremely grateful for any info.
