Hides and Whitney from lincs
« on: Tuesday 16 May 06 15:55 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me?
Although im doing fine with my own family lines i am trying to start my husband off with his own family.
All we know is that his dad, John edward kenneth hides was born in 1949 in grimsby.
His dads name was john thomas edward hides and was probably born around the 1920's.
His mum we think was called anne alice whitney born again around 1920s.
Ive searched for a marriage record without sucess and theres not alot of hides on familysearch.org for that time.
Can anyone please help me with his family.
Once we get back to the mid 1800's the census's will hopefuly help us but at the moment we cant even get off first block!

Indeed familysearch will not help you much for 20th century records  :(

I'm afraid you will have to look up the complete BMD indexes, quarter by quarter, here:
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx

Make sure you choose the 'Search the complete images' option.
