Gosh Suttontrust - how ruuuude :(

You don't half find 'em - I'd stay on here if I were you.  I now have ancestry but often have to ask for help as my tempremental PC sometimes won't let me enhance images.

Rootschat has the most friendliest and helpfull people on the web  ;D

I agree with everyone on here about Rootschat.

Most of the family, apart from my Dad, are only interested when I find someone new to add in so I tend to feel quite alone in my searching. But since becoming a regular on Rootschat I now feel as if I am in a room full of helpful friends whenever I come in here. I know my questions will be answered (with impatience or arrogance at my (sometimes) stupid questions), I know I will get that little burst of get up and go when I am at the end of my tether after hitting a brick wall for so long. I even look forward to seeing people's names appear either in my PM Inbox or on the boards. If I don't feel like researching once in a while I can still go into the Lighter side or even lighter side and see what everyone is talking about.

You cannot find a better place than here for help and friendship

So Thank you to everyone for your patience and help

I've been doing this since I was about 17 - my little baby brother gets into it a few months ago, and now he's steaming ahead, yelling at me to get cracking and get on with it.  "You can afford some certificates" he says!  Who does he think has been paying for certificates ETC for the last twenty odd years????

Suttontrust, I should stick with us, what a nice bunch we can be ;D ;D ;D

I too have ancestry subscription and when I post a message asking for help it's not because I can't be bothered to go and look, it is because after extensive searching I can't find what I am looking for which is, I am sure, true of us all.

The great thing about Rootschat is that there are so many chatters it gives access to many and varied other ways of searching and other sources of info or even a gentle reminder like 'have you tried....'
