Hi all

The Elizabeth who married Archibald Pederson was born in Talbot.  Talbot is near Maryborough and Kerang is near Swan Hill.
She is more than likely the one born in 1885 to John CORNISH and Emily HULL.

Hi All
Thanks for your work there Bob.
So I have the birth confirmed, but after that the unknowns remain.
.As a double check on Genni's highly likely guess that the Elizabeth fromTalbot  is not mine, can anyone see her death {Elizabeth Pedderson} does it show M or F' given name or M's maiden?
Still wondering whether, as Genni says, Leah & Elizabeth are same girl or whether Leah [ birth unregistered] was some sort of a 'ring in' - to use an old Aussie term -  from another branch of family.
Two men named Porter  married 2 Cornish women.
Frederick William P. m.Leah [or whoever she is] in 1901
Richard Ernest Chadwick P. m. Lydia Marjory Cornish, 1906
Can I find out if they were brothers?

I feel as if there are a lot of things I want to search up today and 2 of the BEST are offline  today -  NAA and Necropolis.  Annoying & inconvenient, but may result in even better search tools I guess.
Thanks to all for great interest.
Sue

Hi All

Can confirm Elizabeth PEDERSON is the daughter of John and Emily, so not your elizabeth.

With regards to the PORTER's, too many Fredk Wm's but Richard's parents were Wm Stevens PORTER and Catherine SCOTT.

Wm Stevens PORTER & Catherine SCOTT did have a son named Fredk Wm.

Thank you so much Genni and to all who have helped.  No real progress on Elizabeth, but other useful bits along the way.
