I am looking for the marriage of a John Rowland born abt 1800 Brandninch Devon to possibly a Mary Partmant?
If this is the right lady can anyone see a family with this surname in Devon??

According to Pallot's Marriage Index Mary Partmant and John Rowland married in 1823 in Uffculme. Looking at the original image, Partmant is definitely how it is spelt, but searching on Ancestry I can't find any other references to such a name - sorry  :(

When I typed Partmant into British Origins (I was looking through the 1841 census)  it showed up a few PORTMAN names.
BURROW, BICKHAM, EVANS, SULLEY, STONE - Devon
STEPHENS, MALLET, ADAMS - Cornwall
HANCOCK , BUSSON - Somerset
MCCALLUM, MCDIARMID, MCNEILL - Argyle, Scotland
WALLS, SUTHERLAND, SIMPSON - Orkney, Scotland
FAIRBAIRN - Fife, Scotland
THOMPSON - Aberdeen, Scotland
