Hi All

I have traced one of my lines back to a Mapleton family in Cottered, near Buntingford, in 1736 (marriage to Scales, offspring then married into my main paternal line, so they are direct ancestors) However I have looked on the 1881 census and there are no Mapleton's in Hertfordshire at all and the last reference on IGI in Hertfordshire is 1749.

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this name in East Herts?
