Help with Pitts

Ive posted before im helping my dad trace his tree back and we are both now stuck at
James Pitts Stewart 
he was from Plymouth as far as we know and was a fisherman, we dont have any dates for him atall he had a son that we have been informed off who was born in 1879 he was called Thomas Rice Stewart also a fisherman

please is anyone can help or give ideas it would be brilliant , many thanks kirsty xx

  on boat....RG11/2348/173.

  The name is spelt differently  for them but the ages tie the families together    . Maybe someone can work back from there for 1871...

maybe thats the real name of the street in the 71 census and not Love street

Sorry not much good at this ... so would that then tie in the Thomas Rice Stewart born in 1879?

my grandad William Charles Stewart was Thomas's son .. and he was born in looe street Plymouth ..

James P Stewart unmarried 18 Fishermans Assistant  looks like he was an apprentice to William ? a Fish Merchant and Smack Owner

living at 12 southside street? plymouth

looks like it from the entry tazzie found and the entry I found with Ciceley and Mary A  as daughters think we have the right thomas but not sure where the Rice comes frombut having said that have only found 1 entry with Pitts on it.

   Kirsty...

   Yes your Thomas appears as a 2 year old on the 1881 census. no middle initial given but only Thomas stewert / Stewart b 1879 + or - 2 years in Devon.

  Billybob has now gone back with same family Elizabeth (mother ) and James ( father)  James is a fisherman in all census '.

 They even lived in Looe St throughout so I would say it all point to your family..
