Blimey thankyou billybob and yes there is a Rice ... my great grandad (james's son) was called Thomas Rice Stewart ...

 Mary Stewarts husband was William Stewart  and her maiden name was rice.They were married in St Andrews in 1925. he was a sailmaker.
