Hi Mick
The marriage certificate for William Wright and Sarah Barratt shows her father John a bricklayer. His father John a sawyer. The marriage was Jan 13 1851 both living at Poolhead at the time. I have no idea where Poolhead was and wondered if you might know.Given that his father was John the 1832 baptism does not fit but I would think there might be a connection given the name and place.
Working back from William Joseph, I have his birth certificate showing his father as William, mother Sarah nee Barratt, he was born 1854, Lower St, NUL.
I do not know if his name was William Joseph, Joseph William or just William but I think it must have been William/Joseph as no other fits with age, place and parents names. He is 7 on the 1861 and 17 on the 1871.He is a collier which never changed and he always lived in Silverdale. If he died it would have to have been after 1871.
I am also trying to find my grandma's brother another William Wright. Her birth cert 17.1.1890 shows High St, Silverdale, Wolstanton. She is age 1 on the 1891 census, William is age 2 also born Silverdale. He died in WW1 age 28 Feb 1917.I have sent for the birth certificates of all Williams (plus middle names) born in Wolstanton and NUL in 1887/88/89 but they do not fit. Any ideas where else his birth might have been registered?
