Mildred Haysmore

Desperately trying to locate Mildred Haysmore on the 1881 census in Kent.  Her name well be spelt in a different way as on her birth certificate she is named as Hasmer.  She was born in September 1863 so she would only be approx 18 yrs old.

We know that her father was living in Crayford in 1881 but cannot find her on the 1881 anywhere.

On some censuses after 1881 when she is married some say Crockenhill and some say St. Mary's Cray but her birth certificate says Ockenden (nowdays spelt Hockenden)

Hi Trish

Re 1881 census

I know this is a very long shot but could she be

Amelia Haysmore Visitor 18 unmarried Domestic Servant at 5 Hythe Street Dartford with the Joyce family

(might have been known as Milly?? assumed to be Amelia not Mildred)

Birth place is given as Stone though

As I said, a long shot

Thank you so much for that. It opens up another avenue to search.  Her husbands family (they married in 1882) all came from Stone and it possible if she wasn't actually present when the census was taken the householder may not have had info on her birth place

Once again thankyou.
