Hi

I don't know about your Dwyer's.  Mine came from Doon, and there has been much discussion re County as I think it is on the border.  Thought I would make contact.  My ancestor was John Dwyer arr. oz 1802 per `Atlas 2'.  a Rebel.
Sorry to disappoint you.

Hi,

You don't happen to have a Mary Dwyer, who was born in Dundrum, Co. Tipperary in 1870 in your family tree?  She married Patrick Bissett in 1893 and died in 1951.  I am trying to trace her parents.

Hi,

You need to work out the parish or townland to get to parish records. Have you searched the Griffiths Valuation or other directories for her father?

Hi Kate,

I have found out that the parish is Ballintemple and the "PLU" is Cashel.  But I don't know what the "PLU" is  :-[

Where would I get a hold of the Griffiths Valuation for this region?

Thanks

Des

Hi Des,

The PLU is the Poor Law Union or district of registration. Check my website for various links to the Griffiths Valuation for different counties.
