Donnelly married Donnelly - COMPLETED
« on: Tuesday 23 May 06 17:12 BST (UK) »
I have a James Donnelly and Catherine Donnelly marriage in Lurgan, Armagh on 12/03/1847.  This would have been a Roman Catholic marriage though I have no idea where it took place.  Any suggestions where to look?  The family moved to Scotland in the mid 1850's.

Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Audrey,

I assumed the couple were married in a Catholic church though I'm not certain.  Their marriage is recorded as being in 1847 on the birth certificate of one of their children born in Scotland in 1861.  Again, this is reliant on the informant of the birth.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'H/F James Donnely W/F Hugh Donnely'

Regards,
Jim

Hi,
Many thanks for that infomation.  It's another small step back.  I was despairing of finding anything.  Sorry about the H/F and W/F.  It's obvious my brain wasn't engaged this morning.

Thanks again,
Jin
