Migration between Ireland & England...
« on: Thursday 25 May 06 03:22 BST (UK) »
Just wondering if there would have been any records of people or families moving from Ireland to England?

My grandmother (Phoebe Ward) was married in Bilston, Staffordshire in 1939, and Im guessing her family was there as well, because she was 19, and the witnesses were all Wards...

Our sources tell us though that she was Irish, born in Dublin (or so she told her children and on some birth certificates), so I was wondering if there would be any records of movement between the two countries at that time, or prior?

I have her fathers name, but I dont know if he would be too young to show up on the 1901 census?

Oh and I cant look at her death certificate because she disappeared in 1960ish and no-one has heard of her since.

Help?
