Spooky!  Just found the marriage that Valda has posted, thankfully it is on the IGI and it is Mary Ann Grayson whom married Dewhurst Bilsbarrow.

Ah! it gets more difficult!

There's every possibility that Dewhurst Bilsbarrow and Dowas Belsbury are the same person. In fact, moving down the generations, my great uncle Dowas had the name Thomas Dewhurst Park.

I wonder if Violet(t) died some time between 1838 and 1841, then Dewhurst re-married. It would also be interesting to discover Violet's maiden name - but I'm not sure how to. I tried FreeBMD for a death record of Violet but I couldn't get it to complete the search.

I'm fairly certain that the 1864 marriage is the correct one - based on other evidence, but I'm not 100% certain.
