Seeking any info on the following family :-

WILLIAM THORPE was born 1820 in Swineshead,Lincs, and died September 1864 in Leake,Lincs.  He married JANE WILLOWS, daughter of THORNTON WILLOWS and JANE ?.  She was born 1820 in Wraugle,Lincs, and died October 1897 in Leake,Lincs.

I doubt this will help as she is a couple of generations earlier but I have a Rebecca Thorpe born Coningsby, Lincs about 1789, to George and Mary. died Sutton on Trent 1873.

Thanks, I haven't got further back than William yet but will keep this in mind.

There was a William THORPE bap at Swineshead 10 Jan 1817, son of John and Mary, however there was a John and Susannah THORPE around the same time in Swineshead who had a son Philip Willows THORPE bap in 1817.

Susannah (presumably widowed) THORP had a son Willey 30 in 1841

John and Mary THORPE had no WIlliam at home in 1841.

The marriage certificate, should you obtain it, would show father's name and occupation.  I guess "John Thorpe, Labourer" would not really help.  If it said father deceased, this would (probably) eliminate John and Mary as they were both still around in 1851.  However, if it didn't say "deceased", it wouldn't mean that the father was still alive.

The IGI batches to look at are C032291 and C032292

Susannah said she was unmarried (rather than widowed) in 1851.
