Thanks Colleen. You've just given me a laugh. The times you look at these things then suddenly twig the mistake! I found something on the IGI that really puzzled me, eventually I came to the conclusion that it was a mistake. Took me a while to get there!! I have Uriah on the earlier censuses so thank you with your help on the later ones. I now have the wedding certificate of William and know that they are my mother-in-laws family.

I'd better go. This week we have my daughter's 18th birthday and a suitcase to pack so I should not be on here!!!!

Very best wishes and thanks.

Hi,

After all the wonderful help Iwas given earlier in the year we are heading to South wales over half term to see were the long gone rellies lived.

Does anyone know where those who died in the mine disaster were buried? Is there a local churchyard where I should hunt?

Best wishes and many thanks

Brig

According to Caerphilly County Borough Council web page there is a memorial a Llanfabon Cemetery to honour the victims of the 1894 accident. Doesn't say where any individual miners are buried though.

Hope this helps
