Would like to go backwards with Esther/was she Married when she had mabel,????etc

I also find that esther Goode NEE le grand was previosly married and widowed to a ELIE Balleine 12/6/1851

So, according to Pam's findings, Mabel's mother is Ester Goode who was born in 1857, St Lawrence, Jersey - which ties in with the birth certificate.

In 1861 there is one Esther Le Grand with the right sort of birthdate in the whole of the Channel Islands:

I also found this Esther Legrand ...... but the age is off ! .... image is a little hard to read but the granddaughter seems to have the name similar to Balleine  ....if somebody would like to take a look ...... looks to me like the enumerator wrote "do" then the name - but my eyes are going "gozzy" looking at it !!
