1841/1851 Jersey look up please

My G G G Grandmother was born in 1840/1,  i found her in the 1861 living in Plymouth but her birth place has been given as Jersey, On her marriage cert (1862-Plymouth) her name is down as Sarah Sherriff, on my G G Grandfathers birth cert she is down as Sarah Jane Andrews (nee Sherriff) and her death cert also has Sarah Jane.

Her marriage cert gives her father as James Sherriff (occ - Stone Quarries),
 would like to see if her or James are listed under the 1841/51 census.

I have had a look on both censuses but cannot find either Sarah or James - sorry 

There are no Sherriffs on Jersey at all on either one, only a small cluster on Guernsey, but not with those first names.
