Hi,

My name is Ann and I am currently transcribing a newspaper article about the murder of Sarah CORLETT. It is quite long so I cannot send it here. Please e-mail me if you would like to read it.

The Times, Wednesday, Dec 12, 1928; pg. 10; Issue 45074; col E says the inquest finally decided that her cause of death would be: "That death was due to a fracture of the skull caused by some person or persons unknown who were guilty of either murder or manslaughter according to the actual circumstances under which the violence occurred."

There was no direct evidence against any one person.  The coroner declined to answer when asked if there was any reason to connect her death to Mr Gill.  There are no more mentions of this case or of anybody else being brought up on charges related to it in The Times at least.

(Have you seen the Dec 07, 1928 article which says Mr Gill's widow gave birth to a daughter?)
