Looks like Henry Bernard was Bernard Henry Clarke in 1871???


There is a Hennery Clark aged 8 in Arnold in 1841 (a "Henry" on the facing page is spelt the traditional way). HO107/855/5 folio 9 page 5.

Probably a red herring, but you never know!

1851 Nottingham St Peters there is Bernard H Clarke with parents Isaiah Clarke (Surgeon Dentist) and Charlotte, siblings Edan and Samuel

1861 Henry head of house with Mother Charlotte and a brother and sister.

So it looks like Henry Bernard is not your man !!!
