Hi Audrey,
I have LAURENCE DOYLE married MARY MURPHY , both of Ballytracey, 9th June 1874 at the Catholic chapel of Boolavogue. Parents were EDWARD DOYLE and PATRICK MURPHY.
According to the naming tradition where the eldest girl is named after the mother's mother, Mary's parents must have been Patrick and ELIZABETH Murphy. The next daughter was called Margaret so following the tradition EDWARD DOYLE must have married a MARGARET. However I cannot find any marriage references and I know nothing more about them. I was told by someone at Wexford library that in earlier years the DOYLEs were at Monagreany Lower townland and the Murphy's were next door at Ballytracey. However Ballytracey became the Doyles family home until about 20/30 years ago when it was sold. All the children's births were registered as at Monagrena.
I would love to know more about my ancestors.

The following is from a Marriage Index for Boolavogue RC Church held in Wexford Town Library:

Michael Burke of Clologue married Nannie Leary of Ballytracey on 7th. of May 1900.

I am researching Burke in the nearby Monamolin area, Mythen and Wafer in Oulart area. I have not yet found a connection between the Burke 's in Boolavogue and Monamolin.
