searching for Rose Rus

Hi
I am trying to find out about Rose Rus daughter of
Thomas and Elizabeth Blower who emigrated to Canada
in the 1920s from Birmingham England.  They lived in Hamilton Ontario until they both died, but I cannot find out about Rose.  I only know her married name because she
was named as next of kin on Elizabeths obituary.  To me
Rus is quite an unusual name (although maybe not in
Canada)   I would appreciate any help to tie the loose ends
of this branch of my family together.

Do you know Rose's husband's first name? There are a fair number of RUS in Wentworth Co. (which is where Hamilton is)

When did Thomas & Elizabeth die? What are dates of birth (estimated years are good) for Thomas, Elizabeth and Rose? Any details you can provide will help others to help you.

Thanks for your reply.  I do not know Rose's husbands first name I am afraid, or if she was married more than once.
She was born 1910-1 in Birmingham England and if she only
had the one husband would have married in the early 1930s.
Elizabeth Blower born 20th June 1891 died 3rd July 1975
( her death was registered by Rose Rus daughter) this is
how I found out Rose's name.
Thomas Blower born 17th Agust 1891 died 18th Jan 1950.
Both are buried at Woodlands cemetary Wentworth County

That's going to be a bit tricky to find - the last census available is 1911. A good census substitute is The National Registration File of 1940

This was the registration of all people 16 years of age or
olde, from 1940 to 1946. There is a great deal of
information on this Registration. This is another way to
find an ancestor in that time period.

Statistics Canada holds these records and for a fee they
will search on your behalf. See the explanation and an

You might also try old phone books, city directories or the Hamilton Public Library.

Thanks for your help .  I will certainly try that web site you
suggested. My last message to you ended rather abruptly, I
hit the wrong key and the message just got sent without my finishing it, sorry about that
I had four addresses for Rus from the telephone dir. Hamilton and I wrote to each one explaining who I was and sending my address and e-mail address but I have heard nothing from them so I guess that is a dead end.  If
I do no good on this site you suggest I will assume that the family has died out and give it up.  thanks again
