MacDonald - Dundee

In 1876 Miss Florence MacDonald (sometimes McDonald in records south of the border) was born to Mr Jonathan MacDonald & his wife Jane in Dundee. Jonathan was probably a policeman.

Later Florence married a Mr Joseph Ryder in Newcastle upon Tyne which was now the family home.

I would be grateful if anybody can fill in any details regarding Jonathan & his wife.

Hi Garth,

I don't know where you found the information about Florence MacDonald birth in 1876 in Dundee.  I have searched the records for Dundee and in fact the whole of Scotland but no Florence MacDonald born in 1876. I even tried 1876 to 1880 but nothing came up.

I think this is about the nearest I could find to Florence birth. Wifes name is not the same though.
