just a silly bit of info on Tinkers Hatch, New Pond hill, Cross in Hand. I used to live their in the 60's when it was Fegans Homes for Girls.

That's not silly at all.  I must have been there in the past, because when I was a girl I remember going to a Fegan's Home near Heathfield with our church youth group for a bonfire night.

Which Church wa that. We all went to Heathfield congregational church. Mr Weller was the Pastor. There were Beechwood house, which was the boys home and there was also pinewood House and we girls were i tinkers Hatch.

I went to a bretheren place in Hailsham but we used to meet us with the youth from various churches around and I think the Heathfield Congregational would have been one of them.
