I am still searching for my elusive Charles Velinder Fawcett, and have come across one listed in the 1861 census as a pupil.
Is there anyway possible to check the school records as to who his parents were??

The Charles I am looking for appears to have had a formal education by the looks of his signature.

somewhere on RC there is a very long winded search topic on him where the one I thought may have been my Charles turns out to be a red herring.

Hi
This was obvioualy a small private school run by one man, James Bowker.   Your chances of finding the records may be pretty slim.    Try contacting the local record office.
