Oliver surname in Dumfries

Hello
on the IGI Samuel Oliver seems to have been quite a popular name in Dumfries In the 1700's but the last entry is for the following......
I found a marriage in 1804 13th May Dumfries for a Samuel Oliver & Grizzel Carse.But can't seem to find any children of this couple can anyone please help me???
I'm looking for a birth of a Samuel Oliver abt 1812 who had a sibling William who gives Dumfries as his birth place on the census returns.
any help would be greatly appreciated

I have Oliver's who died in Dumfriesshire - mainly Annan.

But they all originated in Cumberland.  It doesn't strike me as a particular Scottish name so it may be worth checking the northern parishes of Cumberland.

I have other families that dot back and forth over the border for centuries.

Do you mean the SAMUEL or do you mean the OLIVER
as being not particulary Scottish?
I have found a long line of Samuel OLIvers decended from the Samuel Oliver of abt 1812 who's parents i am seeking.it's trying to find out who they are that's causing me problems.I need to find a family with a Robert,Samuel & William
