Anne Boulter - Wentworth

Hi

Looking for any information on the family of Anne Boulter.  She was born abt 1800 in Wentworth.  Her father's name was John, and she married a Thomas Pitty, but that is all the information I have.  I would be grateful for any information on her parents and siblings (if any).

Can't help with Anne, but have you looked at the baptism/burial indexes 1801-37 on the Cambs FHS website for siblings and perhaps her mother's christian name?

Hi Lisa,

The BOULTER family of Wentworth are in my ancestry too. My Gt Gt Grandmother was Elizabeth Boulter, born in Wentworth. I have quite a bit of Boulter info in my research files and there are some details on the Boulter pages of my website at http://www.familytreeuk.co.uk/boulter/.

The BOULTER family appear in Wentworth from roughly the late 1700s and remain there until about the 1940s. Im not sure where they were prior to this but i have been recently led to believe that they came from villages closer to Cambridge.

Anyway, I look forward to reading more on this topic.

by the way, it would seem that Wentworth parish records also record "BOLTER" and "BUTLER" as variants of the name.
