Acky, On 1861 census there is an Eliza Goff age 8 born Cranfield in this family

RG9/1002 Folio 37 Page 26

John Goff, head age 46, born Kettering, Northants ; Ag Lab
Mary Ann Goff, wife age 44 born Cranfield ; Lacemaker
Mary Ann Goff age 13
George Goff age 10
Eliza Goff age 8
Emma Goff age 4

All children born in Cranfield

On 1871 Eliza is now age 20, with same family, Emma is now 18, plus Charles age 10 & a new Mary A age 9

Hi john ,one of the things I find amazing in checking the family is how they moved about,the Goffs came from Ketton rutlandshire how in earth did they get to Cranfield Beds,no trains ,buses,cars .must have been some tough devils in those days.  ACKY
