Help with Olney marriage - COLES/HARROLD

IGI records show Jane COLES b1801 Olney marrying Joseph HARROLD ON 26Apr1820 Olney. (Subsequent  Census records show this to be correct).

IGI also has Jane Coles marrying John TOMKINS 28Jan1822 Olney, so who did John TOMKINS marry ?. I can see no birth details of  another Jane COLES.

You may well already have this:

Jane married Joseph Harrold by license with the consent of her parents.  Witnesses were Charles Talbot and Lucy Coales.

At her marriage to John Tompkins she was a widow and he a widower from Stagsden.  They married by Banns and the witness was ? Hadley.

Don't know if this helps or if I'm too late and you've already found this info.

Many thanks for that, I have had some feedback from other sources giving similar details. If John's fathers name is on the register that would help a great deal.

I could have a look in Olney library for you - i think they hold some transcriptions of the parish registers.
Also i think there are some registers in the church although i can't remember what exactly is there.
I'm assuming they married in St Peter & St Pauls and not in the Baptist or Catholic churches.

i don't know if they hold the Baptist registers in thelibrary but i'll check next time i'm in there.
also if i get chance i'll see if they hold any records at the Baptist church itself.
