Bloomsbury Rifles

Is anyone familiar with the Bloomsbury Rifles of Enfield?

My g-g-grandfather's obituary mentions that he was their musical director and chorus master.  There is no specific dates but working on clues in the narrative, it was for some time between 1899 and 1914.

Google failed me for once but I would be interested to find out more if possible, just to add a bit of colour to my research.

Thanks  :)

Steph.

1908.04.01 amalgamated with 1st Middlesex (Victoria and St. George's) VRC, to form
9th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (Queen Victoria's)

It looks like they amalgamated in 1908 so might this be significant datewise ???

Not in the period you are looking for but this is a sketch of Captain Williams of the 19th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps circa 1862. The 19th wore grey uniforms at this time.
