I agree about the incompleteness of the Ancestry set.
I used to use 1837 quite a lot, then Ancestry came along with the beta version  but I have found quite a few pages on 1837 that aren't on Ancestry, so there's still a role for them.

I absolutely agree, last weekend I found 5 bmds on 1837 online that I just could not find on Ancestry!

Not suprisingly really with their transcription record!!!!

I'll stick to using 1837 thanks!
