Funeral Cards
« on: Thursday 15 June 06 11:00 BST (UK) »
Hi

I was not aware of funeral cards until recently but I have managed to obtain cards for 2 of my relatives (husband and wife) for a small charge. I am hoping to post details of a list of cards available for the Nottinghamshire area in about a weeks time. I am just checking with the owner that this is OK.

Hi Annie

I have only been communicating by old fashioned paper post so far. He has over 6000 cards mainly English but a few from Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

I only got back from holiday early this am so I now need to think how to get this on Rootschat as I think people would like these. The only thing is he has to charge about £4 per card to recoup the outlay and to purchase new cards so does it need to go on the for sale board? I would have thought the county boards or the common room but as money is involved??? Also if he is not wired up it may be a non starter as I cannot do it all on his behalf, though I wouldn't mind possibly doing Nottm look ups for those living abroad. He is gradually typing up the names and contacting the relevant family history society for publication in their magazine.

Any suggestions?

Jane
