Hi again,
Yes that makes sense, thankyou.
On the marriage certificate for William it states father as Joseph, and Wm is born circa 1805, Silsden.
I found a baptism which fitted.  parents Joseph and Ann Pickard.  I think it is Ann Sumerscales and they (joseph and Ann) married in Kildwick in 1790.

Still thinking that first husband of Mary, John Pickard, and William Pickard are brothers. Found bp. for John in 1790 at Addingham - parents -Joseph Pickard and Ann Summerscales.  But will look at bishops transcripts for first marriage to see who father was.

I haven't provided you with all the kids from the first marriage, that is for John Pickard and Mary Simpson, this is what I have:
Henry , b.c. 1821
Joseph b.c. 1823
Grace  b.c. 1825
Elizabeth (married Riley)
John b.c. 1835
Mary Ann b. 1838
All born Silsden/Kildwick as baptised there.
From second marriage,
Margaret b.c 1846 Silsden

Sorry should have given this earlier but was following those who were still at home with Mary in 1851, these kids were in 1841 census  :)
Thanks Darcy

kind regards Margaret

This looks like Henry - James is Addingham - could be another brother.

Hi Darcy,

thankyou yet again, I think we have exhausted out sources by now.
What a huge effort you have put in.  ;)
I will look into the James and see where he fits in now.
