( London)1891 Census Lookup Request Please For Elizabeth Louisa Eleanor Rossiter

Hi,

I am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Louisa Eleanor Rossiter baptised circa 1874 in Finsbury.

Her parents are Edward Hangrave Rossiter and his wife Louisa but I have no other details about them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

This makes it a wee bit difficult searching for the parents

Hi Tricia,

Thanks for that. It looks like her but I hadn't realised that she had died so quickly.

As she died in Shoreditch it's reasonable that her parents would be living within the registration district at the time. Assuming say 25 years back from the time of her birth we're looking for an Edward probably born circa 1849.

Can you post any Edward Rossiters in that area born between say 1844 & 1854 please? They can't all have wives named Louisa.

If there are no Edwards can you post any Rossiters pleaseand I'll try to eliminate them one by one?

This looks interesting in 1881. Middle initial looks like M but it is a squiggle and may not have started off as 'm'

One of possible spouses is Maria Louisa Tillott - is this them

Hi Tricia,

Many thanks for the posts. Apologies for the delay in replying. Have been checking out your information and updating my database.

I think your Edward Nangreave Rossiter and Maria Louisa Tillott were the parents I have been looking for. I believe that  Elizabeth Louisa Eleanor Rossiter was their eldest child folowing their marriage in Holborn in 1874.

Most of their children are recorded at Shoreditch Registration District and using FreeBMD I have got their full names with the exception of James B. Rossiter who I couldn't find for some reason.

It looks like Anna may have died as an infant too as she does not appear later. Will try FreeBMD for a death record.

Think the infant son mentioned in one census must be James B. Rossiter but still don't understand the lack of birth record on FreeBMD.
