Believe it or not....

Still looking for my Jones ancestors. I origionally posted a request about this one a few months ago. I now have updated info. He is OWEN ARTHUR JONES not William as I origonally thought. I still don't know where he was born in 1873 but I now know he died in 1915 and is buried in Ystradmynach. He married Mary Evans c 1899 and they had a daughter, Mary Winefred b 1900. I can't find them where I expected them to be in 1901 (ie N Wales)so did they move south? Mary is back in N Wales after his death. The head stone on Marys grave says Owen is buried at Ystradmynach but I also have bits of info related to Llanbradach. Could they have lived there, are these places close together? in the same county? Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can start on the other Jones family!!

Thank you everyone! I had the marriage as a possible but had no luck finding the family. This one in Bala looks good but the middle initial B is new to me. I'll let you know if I can confirm it. Thanks all.

Update: Apparently Mary was Mary Blodwen so this is looking more likely. Thanks

Hi Liverpool Lass,

As I live in Ystrad Mynach, I could take a look for Owen Arther Jones's headstone and photograph it for you, if you wish.  As for your question on Llanbradach, it is a mile or so down the road from Ystrad Mynach, so they could well have lived there.  They are both in Glamorgan. Llanbradach is on the outskirts of Caerphilly.

Hi Liverpool Lass,

I have been down to Holy Trinity Church in Ystrad Mynach and checked out about half of the church yard (it's quite big). No sign of a headstone yet. I will try to get down later this week to look around the other half.  There is another Church yard in Ystrad Mynach to check out.
