Tuckers
« on: Saturday 17 June 06 14:37 BST (UK) »
I am trying to go back further on my Tucker ancestors, I haven't found much out, this is all I have.

John Tucker born abt  1802/1804 he married a Ann Hall Jan 1825 Stackpole Elidor

His occupaton was a Labourer and a Malster,   John & Ann had at least 4 children

James  born Mar 1825 Stackpole Elidor
Mary  ( my ancestor ) born  Apr 1827  St Petrox
George   born Sep 1831 St Petrox
William  born 1836 St Michael

In the 1841 & 1851 census they are living in the Parish of St Michael but that is all I have, I know Ann outlived John, when he died I do not know.

Again I will be grateful for anything.

Thank you

think James's place of birth must be Fownhope and Jane's East Looe.

Hello Osprey,

Thank you once again for being  very helpful with my ancestors,  yes you are correct James Roberts did come Fownhope but I haven't found him yet but there is a strong possiblity that he came from the next village over and his parents moved to Fownhope where they had James's siblings., this is the only conclusion that I have come too.

I was kind of hoping that the person who did the census had put imbeceile in the wrong place, it's not nice to know that your ancestor was one, the only explination my father and I came up with was that after the death of her husband Mary couldn't cope and maybe had a breakdown hence the mother Ann Tucker living with them.

Thank you, I hope someone will give you the goodluck the way you have given  me.

All the best Rhian
