A colour challenge please

I have just been given this photo by my Dad - he's the small one at the front  - and it's a lovely clear photo, just scanning it has taken out the creases (but not the photographers stamp) but I would love to see a colourised version if anyone has the time.

Just a couple of clues, the lady on the right had red hair and I have this inkling that the lady on the left was in pale green (I'm sure she couldn't have still had that dress 30 years later but who knows!).

The actual image is larger than this so I'm happy to e-mail it if anyone wants a larger canvas.
