I'm researching Orchard families too - perhaps we can help each other.

My ancesters were servants at 'Orchard' around 1854/55. They were called Robert Armstrong & Charters Jackson. I was wanting to know if they were there in any of the Census's so I could trace them more but they weren't. So I maybe can not help you.
I have now traced Charters Jackson but if you should come across a Robert Armstrong along with some of the Calverts anywhere I would be grateful if you could let me know as I am clutching at straws with this one.
